Specialist mutual insurer The Strike Club has announced a slight increase in its advance call rates for the 2004/5 policy year.

There will be a general increase of 10% for Classes I and II and a %5 increase for Class III.

The Club, a provider of insurance covering strikes and all forms of marine trade delays, said these rates would apply before any adjustment for individual claims experience.

The current policy year saw a general increase of 12.5% for all three classes of cover.

The Club's directors approved the increase at their quarterly meeting in Monaco. It also appointed two new members to the board; Hans Olsen, Leonhardt & Blumberg managing director, and Daisuke Idaka, Toko Kaiun Kaisha president.
