Underwriters Marcus Hearn & Co has launched a D&O underwriting facility for brokers. It said the facility was designed for brokers with SME clients.
Marcus Hearn said a simplified approach would enable brokers to obtain mist quotations by answering nine questions. The facility is underwritten by ACE Insurance.
Marcus Hearn director Peter Drummond said: "Recent legislation has significantly increased the duties and responsibilities faced by decision makers within companies, and claims can be made against them from a variety of sources including shareholders, creditors, auditors, the government and employees, thereby increasing the need for the protection this policy provides."
