Compliance Consultants is launching a new service to assist FSA-regulated firms with compliance. The group intends to establish 20 to 25 franchisees.
Gary Dixon, chief executive of Compliance.co.uk Limited, said: "I expect these franchises will appeal to existing sole-practitioner compliance consultants who want to spend a lot less time coping with the administrative and technical demands of running a consultancy. It will also very much appeal to employed compliance officers who would like to run their own businesses and want to minimise the risks involved in setting up by themselves."
"In the UK there are over 30,000 FSA-regulated firms and the number is increasing. Given the flow of new and changing regulations, the demand for compliance advice will continue to grow. Even with current numbers each of the new franchisees will have a catchment area with more than 1,000 firms each, whilst only needing to work with 20 to have a profitable business."
The cost of a franchise will be around £25,000, depending upon location.
