Norwich Union to provide underwriting for niche online intermediary
Policyfast, the web-based underwriting service launched in January, have added a courier facility to their rapidly expanding range of products.
The contract, which will target couriers along with light haulage contractors and furniture removers, has been made available following extensive negotiations with Norwich Union, the product underwriter.
Mick Denny, Sales Director at Policyfast, said:
“Having been involved with this type of business for over 10 years, our underwriting team and our insurers have a vast knowledge of the marketplace. We believe that we know exactly which risks will be profitable for the underwriters and, ultimately, our broker panel. The rates charged will reflect this knowledge. We are targeting all drivers across the whole age range and can cover vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes.”
“Any driver quotations are available along with protected NCB and we can also offer clients discounts for sign written vehicles. As with most other Policyfast products, documentation is issued at point of sale giving brokers the swift turnaround that is required”.
