Research and Markets has released a report into the status of offshore markets in the Isle of Man, Guernsey, Jersey, Dublin and Luxembourg between 1998 and 2001.

The findings revealed that Guernsey’s non-life market was the largest of those under investigation. It said the Guernsey market had grown by a minimum of 18% per year, even when the other markets had slowed or declined during the period.

The report outlines the regulatory and tax environment of each offshore market, along with any recent developments, said the company.

It also examines the structure of competition within each market, both in terms of options for company formation and the insurers’ country of origin.
