Dave Matcham has been appointed as the new chief executive of the Internat-ional Underwriting Association (IUA), succeeding Marie-Louise Rossi. He was previously director of operations at the association.
Matcham said one of his first tasks would be to "review IUA priorities in light of the evolving market".
He said: "I am already spending much of my time getting round the market, especially to IUA members, taking on board their views and finding out what services, in detail, they would like to see in future.
"I am sure that market reform of business processes and helping members meet their compliance obligations will continue to be at the forefront of our activities."
IUA chairman Tony Medniuk said: "The London company market needs an association that will continue to provide good practical support and information for its members.
"Dave Matcham is well respected throughout the London market and beyond, and has the right qualities to ensure that the IUA delivers these benefits."
