Carpenters personal injury head to lead Motor Accident Solicitors Society

The Motor Accident Solicitors Society (Mass) has elected Donna Scully, from Carpenters Solicitors in Birkenhead, as its new chairman.

Scully has been a member of the Mass management committee since 2004, taking the role of vice chairman in November 2008.

Carpenters, a leading niche claimant personal injury firm, have been members of the society since 1998.

As head of the personal injury department of Carpenters and a long standing supporter of Mass, Scully has campaigned for the rights of the accident victim and their Access to Justice.

Mass said it is these principles that are at the centre of Donna’s objectives as chairman of the society over the next two years.

In her inaugural speech as chairman at the recent AGM, Scully said: “My firm joined MASS because of its objectives and I joined the Management Committee to be more involved in achieving those objectives. MASS is the voice of the accident victim and we represent them in their fight to preserve their Access to Justice at the highest levels.

"Now as chairman I intend to continue that fight and that will be my focus over the next 2 years.

"The Society, and consequently the accident victim, faces many challenges ahead, which perhaps are the most serious yet in terms of Access to Justice and the provision of quality and independent legal advice."
