S2 Business Solutions to offer compliance and HR advice

Two former senior executives at leading intermediary Carole Nash have launched their own business consultancy to offer a range of insurance industry advisory services.

Cheshire-based S2 Business Solutions has been set up by former Carole Nash’s development director, Sarah Holt, and the intermediary’s former head of Business Development, Sharon Harrop. It will provide advice and support services primarily to brokers but also to other financial services organisations and general business.

Services will include compliance, quality improvement and human resources.

Holt said: “Sharon and I have extensive high level experience in developing and implementing procedures and systems to improve efficiency, quality, recruitment and retention and which we can now share with others in the industry.

“In an increasingly regulated environment our experience and expertise in managing compliance and risk mitigation will be an invaluable resource to those struggling to meet the technical and administrative burden.”

S2’s compliance services will include preparing for ARROW (Advanced Risk-Responsive Operating FrameWork) visits as well as addressing risk management, conflict of interest, competence issues and satisfying the FSA’s Treating Customers Fairly agenda.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
