Caravan Guard has increased policy discounts for members of caravan clubs by ten per cent following a switch of scheme underwriter from Axa Insurance to Avon Insurance. The change takes effect from March .1
The move increases the total discount possible to 50% reflecting age, security precautions, towing experience and claims record. Brokerage is 13% for new business and renewals.
"This increased discount should help intermediaries increase their personal lines income by winning market share from the club insurance schemes which usually do not deal through insurance intermediaries," said Caravan Guard development manager Chris Nettleton. "We reckon that getting on for half of all insured touring caravans are insured by club schemes. Therefore, there is plenty of business for our intermediary partners to have a go at."
