Chris Baker joins from Oracle where he spent 17 years
Xuber, Xchanging’s insurance software business, has appointed Chris Baker as its new managing director.
The appointment comes at the same time as Xchanging’s acquisition of insurance software businesses, Total Objects and Agencyport Europe.
Baker was formerly a senior vice-president at Oracle, where he spent 17 years. He will join Xuber on 1 August and will lead a team across the UK, US and Asia.
Baker will oversee the integration of the recently acquired businesses within Xuber, with the goal of expanding its global presence and offerings in the property and casualty and health insurance markets.
He will report directly to Xchanging Technology Services executive director Andrew Binns.
Binns said: “Chris is a dynamic leader and has over 30 years of experience in the technology and software sales industry, successfully building and running £200m+ businesses. He will be supported by a strong team; Adrian Morgan, who is recognised as one of the best strategic design visionaries in the industry, and by Phil Race and Andy Lovett who have successfully developed their business, Agencyport Europe, in the last three years.”
On his appointment, Baker said: “I’m thrilled to join the Xchanging insurance software business at such an exciting time and look forward to the challenges that lie ahead. My initial focus will be to ensure the seamless integration of Xchanging’s latest acquisitions and to create an enlarged technology offering that will solidify Xchanging’s leading position in the global insurance technology market. I look forward to delivering creative and transformational value for Xchanging’s customers.”
