Moorhouse has said the the amount of business written through Xbroker, its online comparative quotation system for brokers, doubled during 2005 to £1.6m.
Moorhouse said gross written premiums are expected to reach £8m by the end of 2006.
Moorhouse's chief executive, Lyndon Wood, said: “We're delighted with the growth we're seeing in Moorhouse Xbroker and believe there is plenty of potential for further expansion."
Next year, Moorhouse Xbroker will make new products available such as Retailers, Office, Property Owners, Personal Accident and Sickness, Commercial Vehicle and Professional Indemnity.
