Towergate's military insurance division, Towergate Wilsons, has acquired specialist regimental commercial insurance company Legion Direct.
Towergate Wilsons managing director Colin Birch said: “The acquisition of this quality portfolio has strengthened Towergate Wilsons presence in the regimental insurance market place, which is an important part of our military insurance ambitions.”
The group said the acquisition was part of its plan to double the size of Towergate Underwriting to £400m gross premium within two years.
