Bruce Carnegie-Brown, Marsh president and chief executive of Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region, is to leave the company.
Carnegie Brown saw the broker through tough times when the broker was being investigated by the New York attorney general, Eliot Spitzer. Despite the battering to Marsh's reputation, the UK broker chief last year knocked Aon from the UK's number one broker spot for the first time in nearly 10 years.
Marsh Inc chairman and chief executive, Brian Storms has named Alex Moczarski, a 12-year Marsh veteran, as his replacement.
For the past two years, Moczarski has been the head of the international specialty operations (ISO) Region, which includes Africa, Asia, Latin America & Caribbean and the Pacific.
Storms said: “Bruce provided the clear strategic direction and steady hand that has solidified and enhanced our foundation for long-term growth in this important region. We wish him all the best.”
