Loss adjuster Cunningham Lindsey has launched an online policy tracking facility for customers in a bid to drum up new business.
The interface allows policyholders to monitor the progress of their claims, view any correspondence and policy documentation online, and directly contact the loss adjusters who are dealing with their claims.
CustomerLink is initially being piloted for use by Norwich Union policyholders making subsidence claims.
But the loss adjuster is looking to extend the service to all domestic claims and for all their insurance clients over the course of this year.
Cunningham Lindsey IT manager Mark Dobson said: "This is the first online subsidence claims information system to be launched into the UK market. We are hoping the facility will help to differentiate us from our competitors and bring in some new clients as well."
A version for general property claims, with the facility for policyholders to email details of lost or damaged items, is being launched within the next few weeks.
CustomerLink will be available to domestic policyholders free of charge.
