Insurance company Norwich Union has been fined £30,000 after a window fell from the fifth floor of one of its offices into a bus shelter. The incident ocurred on April 4, 2001 and no-one was injured.
According to reports, staff at the company had warned about the window because it had been "flapping about" in high winds. They had been unable to reach it because no-one had a key. The key was kept in another Norwich Union building.
