’We’re excited about the opportunities that lie ahead,’ says chief executive
Zurich has entered into a strategic partnership with insurtech scaleup Qover as it looks to expand its proposition in embedded insurance, a statement released yesterday (6 July 2023) said.
The partnership, which has been secured through Zurich’s innovation arm Global Ventures, will see the insurer find new ways to distribute insurance products and services to customers.
As part of the move, Zurich will also be joining the Qover’s series c funding round, which stands at $30m (£23m) – other funding round participants include Alven, Anthemis and Kreos Capital.
Jack Howell, chief executive of Zurich Global Ventures, said: “What makes Qover stand out for me is its deep understanding of what customers are looking for – a way to make getting insurance as simple and convenient as possible.
“The combination of its know-how about embedded insurance, our long-standing expertise and global footprint is a win-win for our distribution partners and customers.”
Expansion
The funding round will support the insurtech in its expansion and foster more strategic partnerships.
