MGA Folgate Underwriting has appointed Craig Miller as its new liability chief underwriting officer.
In his new role, Miller will take charge of the liability portfolio and be responsible for overseeing the development and growth of new and existing product strategies.
He will also work closely with Chris Page, who currently serves as head of liability.
His appointment comes after Hadron’s acquisition of Folgate Insurance in February 2024.
As part of the deal, Folgate Insurance’s service company was rebranded from Anglo Pacific Consultants to Folgate Underwriting in August 2024.
Speaking about joining the company, Miller said: “Working with such an established company and a new team is exciting, not to mention new relationships with our existing broker community.
“We will continue to provide a first class, efficient service with added value to our loyal customers.”
Experience
Miller has 20 years’ experience in the UK and Irish liability and construction sector.

He joins from Dual Oliva, where he was most recently UK commercial director.
Before this, he served as a construction underwriter at Thames Underwriting.
In his new position at Folgate Underwriting, he will report to chief executive Ian Russell.
Russell said: “Miller has a very impressive track record and demonstrates an exceptional depth of knowledge and insight within the UK construction sector.
“His role as liability chief underwriting officer will be a pivotal part in delivering our strategic plans.”
His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
He took up the position of deputy news editor at Insurance Times in March 2023, before being promoted to his current role in May 2024.View full Profile
