Deputy editor Yiannis Kotoulas took home the trophy for the Story of the Year category at last night’s (10 July 2024) Biba’s Journalism and Media Awards.
The story, which covered developments in the regulation of commissions paid to third parties in the provision of buildings insurance for multioccupancy properties, was published in February 2023.
Since the story was published, the FCA has sets out new protections for leaseholders in multi-occupancy leasehold buildings insurance market and confirmed its reforms to regulation.
