’We know brokers want quick access to our decision makers and our local footprint is an important part of that,’ says chief distribution officer
Hiscox has opened a new satellite office in Bristol to expand its regional presence for brokers.
The office, based in the Generator Building in Redcliffe, is available to brokers that want to discuss commercial, art and private client and schemes business.
It comes after Hiscox realigned its regional footprint in 2023, with the move seeing the south west fall under the remit of the southern region.
The south has been serviced from the Maidenhead office, but the local Hiscox team felt the need for another presence within the south west to better connect with broker partners.
“It became clear that our local team would be best setup for success in the Bristol market, where we’ve got the most opportunity to align with our brokers,” the insurer said.
Gareth Hemming, chief distribution officer at Hiscox UK, added: “We’re always looking for opportunities to be closer to our brokers and there’s a great appetite for trading in Bristol, so having a local presence makes a great deal of sense.
“We know brokers want quick access to our decision makers and our local footprint is an important part of that.”
