Vista Insurance Brokers has appointed John Garrard as its new head of schemes and affinities.
In his new role, Garrard will lead the advancement of schemes and affinity partnerships, as well as digital trading strategies.
As part of this, he will focus on the development of digital trading capabilities and enhancing propositions.
“I’m thrilled to be taking on this role and working closely with our key partners to drive innovation in schemes and affinity and digital trading,” Garrard said.

Experience
Garrard joins the business from Wrapper Insure, a niche personal lines broker that he founded in 2020.

Before founding the firm, he was the director of digital at Bridge Insurance Brokers for a year. Prior to this role, Garrard served as the managing director at Fish Insurance for five years.
In his new role, he will work closely with Vista Insurance chief executive Gavin Rubin.
Rubin said: “Schemes and affinities are critical to our growth strategy and expanding our presence in this sector is a key priority.
“We are committed to working closely with our insurer partners to leverage digital solutions that enhance efficiency and streamline the trading process, ensuring a seamless experience for both our clients and partners.

His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
He took up the position of deputy news editor at Insurance Times in March 2023, before being promoted to his current role in May 2024.View full Profile
