Berkeley Alexander has launched a buildings and/or contents insurance, called Portfolio.
The policy features:
a contents sum insured of £35,000. The premium is based on the number of bedrooms, up to five
an introductory no claim discount for up to three years for new clients (without previous claims)
one month's cover free of charge (The premium is based on 12 months' cover for the cost of 11)
telephone claims reporting to allow customers to receive immediate attention
a web-based quotation service to allow agents 24-hour access to product information and quotes
free links to an agent's website (this will allow clients to obtain their own quotes 24 hours a day).Premiums can be paid interest-free by 11 monthly direct debits, or by a single cheque or credit card payment.
Berkeley Alexander pays 20% commission to agents on all business both new and renewal together with free sales training and advice on the implications of the General Insurance Standards Council.
