Markel has launched a new Employment Practices Liability policy.
The insurer has developed the new product in conjunction with Miller Insurance Services and law firm Reynolds Porter Chamberlain. The product is designed to help employers counter the increasing trend towards litigation.
The policy affords protection for company directors and officers, and all employees, in relation to civil liability claims, criminal prosecutions, and official investigations and enquries.
It includes dismissals, discrimination, libel and slander, punitive and exemplary damages, indemnity arising from outside directorships, and indemnity to sub-contractors.
