Commercial will advertise car, home and pet products
LV= general insurance has launched a new marketing campaign and TV advert for its car, home and pet insurance products. The commercial is the sequel to the highly successful first car insurance ad, which launched the brand in March 2007.
The commercial highlights the excellent service customers can expect from LV= and its competitive pricing policy.
The creative features the iconic ‘green heart’ throughout, reflecting the heart-shaped ‘V’ in the LV= brand identity. The advert tells the story of a run-away car bumping into a number of parked vehicles including a car belonging to an LV= customer.
Guy Hedger, Marketing Director of General Insurance at LV=, said: “Our rebrand last year has been a fantastic success and we intend to build on the success of the green heart in years to come. We have significant growth plans in 2008 and we are doubling our media spend to £12 million. The high quality of the advert and the fact that it’s both entertaining and informative ensures it stands apart from many other run of the mill insurance ads.”
The insurance division of LV= is expanding both its product portfolio and employee numbers and has launched pet insurance this year and further products will be launched over the course of 2008.
The company is also recruiting 350 new staff to meet with its ambitious future business plans.
The creative agency that developed the advert is Brighton-based Designate and it is directed by John Selby, who has previously made adverts for BMW, Audi and Ford.
Guy Hedger, continued: “We are very pleased with this advert which takes our green heart to the next level. We believe the advert will not only further increase awareness of the LV= brand but also it will also deliver significant growth for the business.”
