Lloyd Hanks is to leave Camberford Law following a decision to merge Network Extra with the main business of the company.

As a result of integrating the two companies, Camberford Law said there was no need for the specific role of managing director.

The company said they had reached a mutual agreement with Hanks, who had agreed to help the company with the implementation of its revised strategy.

Camberford Law chairman and chief executive Richard Sheik said the change in direction of Camberford Law Network Extra was due to a variety of factors.

“A number of brokers have said to us they would like to join, but are unwilling to commit to placing 100% of their business through a network. And, while we still stand by that as an ideal, we have to recognise the reality. Those brokers gave me the idea for a change in strategy.

“We are integrating Network Extra into the main body of Camberford Law which will allow us to provide any broker with placing facilities for our many specialist schemes and, also, access to markets for all other risks, difficult-to-place and run-of-the-mill.

It will provide insurers and suppliers with an entrée to our broker panel to offer their products, services and business solutions.

“While, inevitably, a new direction does imply some changes, Camberford Law is seeking continuity to reflect the important work Network Extra, and its team, has already achieved.
