Solus deal enters its fifth year
Kwik-Fit Fleet has extended its business partnership with leasing and fleet management company Fleet Hire into a fifth year with the signing of a new 12-month solus preferred agreement.
The Solihull-based company operates a fleet of almost 6,000 vehicles and now uses Kwik-Fit Fleet for the supply of virtually all fast-fit related services.
Fleet Hire said it planned to utilise Kwik-Fit Fleet’s recently launched vehicle MoT and servicing operations and increase customer use of tyre safety checks, typically undertaken by Mobile units in company car parks.
Kwik-Fit said that there had been an uptake in tyre safety checks amid the growing corporate focus on occupational road risk management.
Fleet Hire’s decision to sign an improved contract with Kwik-Fit Fleet follows the January appointment of new managing director Graham Hale, who took over following the retirement of David Bourne, one of the original company founders.
Hale said: "We are pleased to be associated with Kwik-Fit whose partnering approach to the way they do business is aligned to our own business ethos. Whilst I have only recently joined Fleet Hire I look forward to developing still further the good relationship that exists between our two organisations."
Mike Wise, head of Kwik-Fit Fleet said: “Fleet Hire is aiming to double its fleet size over the next few years and the extension of our relationship with the company will mean an increasing number of fleet customers benefit from our wide range of services.
"Kwik-Fit Fleet is the UK’s largest provider of fast-fit services to the fleet industry and we continue to innovate in terms of increasing our range of services - in recent months breaking into the vehicle servicing and MoT business and supplying glass repair and air conditioning recharging."
