Specialist liability syndicate, Illium 4040, has produced a guide for brokers to better educate them on the benefits of rehabilitation.
Denis Burniston, active underwriter for the syndicate, said: "We believe rehabilitation can provide real benefits to our policyholders in terms of time and money saved when faced with workplace injuries." He added that this service would be provided free for brokers.
Illium claims it is the first Lloyd's syndicate to offer a rehabilitation service as part of its employers' liability policies. It has contracted Injury Prevention and Rehabilitation Services (IPRS) to provide qualified treatment to employees who are injured at work.
