Brokers can now transact small fleet policies electronically through Groupama for the first time.
The insurer's Optima Small Fleet product is auto-rated, allowing intermediaries to get a quote and confirm cover immediately via Groupama's extranet without having to speak to an underwriter.
A spokesman for Groupama said: "This product is absolutely unique in the market place.
"Fleet business is historically very time-consuming and labour-intensive for the broker because it is conducted manually."
Groupama said transacting fleet business online will reduce the total time brokers spend on a policy from two days to a few minutes.
The product is targeted at fleets of five to 15 and offers cover for use within the EU, personal effects, medical expenses and replacement locks and keys.
The spokesman said: "Fleet has always been an area in which we are strong and Optima shows we continue to lead the field. I am positive this will help us to pick up new business."
