Giles Insurance Brokers has signed a deal to use the Acturis broker platform for its commercial lines business.
Over September and October, 240 Giles commercial broking staff across 17 offices have begun using the system.
Giles chief executive Chris Giles said that the business continued to use CDL for its personal lines and the Sirius system Swift for financial services. The move came about because the company needed to consolidate its six commercial lines legacy systems into one solution.
Giles said: "In a review of providers, Acturis stood out. As an acquisitive, growth-oriented business, Acturis provides us with an instant scalability that no other system can provide, as new brokers can simply be added to the existing Giles setup, legacy data migrated across and the team trained up.
"Acturis also provides excellent management information and controls, essential in managing a fast-growing organisation, and we see this as essential in the post-FSA environment."
Acturis co-chief executive Theo Duchen said: "Giles is a fantastic addition to Acturis and takes us over the 1,400-user mark, which is well ahead of our 2003/2004 business plan."
