Fortis' UK subsidiary, Fortis UK, has acquired Affinity Solutions, a financial services consultancy firm specialising in the UK's affinity market.
Fortis said the acquisition is a clear indication of its determination to increase its penetration into the growing affinity market and is further proof of its ongoing commitment to actively support the growth of its UK businesses.
Barry Smith, chief executive of Fortis (UK), said: "The acquisition of the Affinity Solutions team is complementary to our recent acquisition of Outright and is integral to our strategy for the UK.
The company said the acquisition would enable it to bring together its underwriting and claims handling capabilities with sales, fulfilment, marketing and product solutions at Outright.
Smith added: "The knowledge, skills and expertise of the team will enable us to ensure that we are leveraging the range of capabilities we have in the Fortis UK businesses to satisfy the needs of affinities with flexible client led solutions, as well as supporting our focus on increasing market share of the broker distribution channels."
