Town & Country Assistance has appointed former Churchill claims manager Tim Rankin as its managing director.

The specialist claims management company also said it wants to recruit over 100 new staff to work at a new 12,000 sq ft claims handling operations centre in Broadstairs, Kent.

Rankin was formerly head of motor services at Churchill Insurance's claims services group, which provided outsourced services to the insurance industry.

Town & Country said its chief executive and founder Theodore Agnew would be concentrating on the activities of its parent company, WNS Holdings, as a result of the appointment.
