Footman James has announced that as part of the recently signed three-year deal, AXA Assistance will provide UK and European motor breakdown assistance to an additional 40,000 policyholders.
Already servicing 100,000 Footman James customers, the new deal will see the transfer of the business from other providers.
The agreement will also enhance cover by providing Homestart assistance to all private modern car policies.
Footman James has also signed a new contract with Helphire Group in a deal that the company said will "deliver increased value for its customers through [Helphire Group's] accident management service."
Helphire will act as the first point of contact for 140,000 policyholders, covering in excess of 200,000 vehicles.
The arrangement includes Legal Expenses cover, provided by IGI Insurance, and first notification response.
