Expacare has added increased benefits to its range of medical insurance products for the expatriate market.

The improvements apply to its Standardcare, Executivecare and Specialcare plans. They will come into effect on 1 July.

The expanded benefits include:

· Overall maximum benefit increased to £1.5m for Executivecare and £5m for Specialcare

· Benefit of £10,000 (lifetime) for treatment for alcohol and drug addiction under Specialcare

· Compassionate lump sum payment if diagnosed with AIDS under Specialcare

· Complementary medicine benefit augmented to £750 for Executivecare and £1,000 for Specialcare

· Hospital cash benefit increased across Standardcare, Executivecare and Specialcare to £100, £250 and £500 respectively

· Organ transplant benefit raised to £150,000 for Executivecare and £200,00 for Specialcare.
