The Jelf Group has appointed a former insurance company regional director in a bid to drive growth in the South West and Wales.
Jelf Insurance Brokers managing director Gary Chandler said the broker had appointed former Royal & Sun Alliance (R&SA) regional director Les Brewin "to further the development of our acquisition strategy of new brokers and certain individuals".
Chandler said Brewin had the right contacts in Jelf's target growth area to help it attract key staff and acquire new brokers within a 100 mile radius of its Bristol base.
He said Jelf was looking to acquire brokers with an income of less than £1m, but added: "We are not ruling anything out. We have set some challenging growth targets, premium income has risen from £20m to £32m in the last 12 months."
