Staddon to focus on SME broker market
RWA Compliance Services has recruited Peter Staddon as head of broker professional development.
Staddon spent 15 years at Biba where established the trade body’s technical services department before his departure last July. He then took up a role at bike broker Devitt.
Staddon said: “I am excited at being able to help support brokers in a variety of roles which will ensure that they are able to continue to grow in these difficult times. I have always believed that brokers do a fantastic professional job and without them many SME businesses will receive little or no advice.”
RWA Group chairman Robin Wood said: “RWA’s plans are well advanced for helping brokers develop fee charging systems, broker focused T&C, TCF compliant consolidations, and public education of the value of using a broker.
“Peter is going to head up the RWA initiative to consolidate the status of SME brokers at the pinnacle of the intermediary parish. When completing an appropriate cost benefit analysis, qualifications and chartered status are a positive step for the future but they should be relevant to SME brokers and one of Peter’s objectives will be looking at how brokers meet this aim.”
