Europ Assistance has won the motor breakdown assistance account for Royal & SunAlliance (R&SA) and its direct operation, More Th>n.

It said the account covered 24 hour UK breakdown assistance together with post-accident support outside R&SA's normal operating hours.

Assistance will be provided through Europ Assistance's existing network of 750 contractors, with an additional 520 recommended repairers being added in anticipation of increased call levels, the company said.

The deal will come into effect on 1 March 2004 for all More Th>n business with broker, commercial and R&SA's fleet drivers following a week later, said Europ Assistance.

As a result of winning the account, the company said it had established a dedicated management and supervisory team in their Navan call centre. It said the account win represented a major success for the business.
