A disaster abroad can prove financially damaging for tour operators and event organisers. A new contingency cover plan has been launched should such a disaster occur.
A new policy for tour operators and event organisers to provide contingency cover in the event of a disaster has been launched by travel scheme specialists, P J Hayman & Company.
Peter Hayman explained: "Events such as coach crashes, hotel fires and the like can have a serious impact on a tour operator's business due to adverse PR. It is essential that such events are managed very carefully, which is why as part of this insurance cover we have included the services of specialist crisis management experts and PR specialists."
The policy provides expenses cover up to £250,000 with a deductible of £2,500.
