Coventry Building Society said it had enhanced its home contents cover ahead of the start of the new academic year.
Through its HomeCover policy, students will have contents insurance of up to £2,500, with a single item limit of £500, through their parent's home contents policy.
Operations director David Stewart said: “University costs continue to spiral and parents and students alike can ill afford to incur costs. Coventry HomeCover provides peace of mind, whether at home or at university or college.”
