Construction insurance specialist Contractsure said it had received provisional Lloyd's accreditation.

Managing director Paul Deakin described the provisional accreditation as an exciting development for the company.

The company was launched in November 2002 and currently has clients with an annual combined turnover of £5bn, it said.

It said it acted on behalf of four of the top 40 construction companies in the UK and had advised and placed the insurances for a number of PFI projects.

Contractsure said it worked with a small number of provisional brokers on a joint venture basis and was looking to expand these relationships on a limited basis.
