CCV has made its latest acquisition — an Essex-based broker controlling £2m in GWP.
Gardners has become the sixth broker to join the capital venture since CCV's launch in June this year.
Tim Johnson, CCV chief executive, commented: “Gardners is a very well run business and has particular expertise in property owners and taxi insurance. In spite of recent market conditions, it has grown steadily over the past few months and I am confident that we can help boost that growth still further.”
Paul Goldsmith and Colin Carter, directors of Gardners, said: “We felt the time was right to secure the future of our staff and take advantage of CCV's access to funding and products for the benefit of our customers. Maintaining our own brand and presence in the local community were also important elements of the sale.”
The broker's six employees will remain with the business.
