Capita Group reported £11.1m profit before tax in its insurance operations for the year ending 30 June 2006.
The Group's insurance division, Capita Commercial Solutions (CCS), accounts for 12% of its operations. Group turnover was reported as £845m, up from £687.3m a year earlier, of that CCS contributed £101.4m, up from £82.4m the previous year.
Dermot Joyce, CCS executive director, said he would look to push further growth by expanding its operations in the commercial insurance arena.
"We have a team of 2,000 people servicing 150 insurance clients," said Joyce. "Earlier this year we acquired Aon Claims Management, which has added strength to our commercial business, which we intend to grow further."
There are also plans to cross sell Capita's health services into its insurance operations. Joyce said: "We are starting to see more synergy between our personal lines products and health and legal services. It is an area that we would like to develop further."
