Brownsword has recruited former Groupama claims and customer services director Jacci Taylor as operations director.

Taylor's appointment comes into effect from 1 April.

Taylor was appointed as Groupama's claims and customer services director in February 2000.

Brownsword is best known for its work with Digilog, the voice stress analysis (VSA) specialist.

VSA technology, more commonly known as lie detectors, has been adopted by a number of leading insurers including HBOS, Admiral, Cox and Allianz Cornhill.

In October 2003, Admiral revealed results of its Digilog pilot, which had been outsourced to Brownsword.

The results showed that around one in five claimants making motor theft claims to Admiral was withdrawing the claim after being assessed by Digilog's VSA software.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
