The number of brokers integrating their websites with the Misys system has increased by over 60% in the last 12 months according to web integrator, ISIS.
Peter Skinner, sales director, ISIS, said: “A couple of years ago brokers were thinking they should at least have a website to provide information for customers. Now they've crossed that threshold and are looking to the Internet to generate business.
“Those that have embraced web trading are aware that a well-designed website can effectively sit in the corner of their office and pull in business that they would never previously have had access to, without cost being the barrier that it perhaps once was.
Mark Ryder, commercial director, Misys General Insurance, said: “The uptake of e-Quotes continues to increase with 100% growth in contracts year on year. However, the brokers pushing forward with the web are not just the larger call centre operations but also the smaller niche players offering specialist schemes.”
