Biba said it had introduced a comprehensive motor breakdown service for its membership after teaming up with Capita Insurance Services.

Capita will provide a complete electronic fulfilment pack to enable Biba brokers to market and sell individual policies directly to their customers, said Biba.

It said the comprehensive cover will operate through an approved network of national and European recovery agents.

Three levels of protection will be offered through the scheme for vehicles less than 20 years old, said Biba. These are roadside assistance, home assist, and European cover.

Other benefits of the scheme include no mileage restrictions and additional cover for assistance in the event of illness, theft, vandalism, or accidents.

Biba technical services manager Graeme Trudgill said: “Capita is the leading provider of outsourced services to the insurance market and has a strong track-record of policy administration provision.

“This partnership means we can offer a valuable service to our broker membership at a highly competitive cost.”
