AXA has extended its existing partnership for the provision of travel insurance with travel company TUI until 2009.

AXA and TUI, the parent company of brands such as Thomson and Crystal, have been in partnership since 2002.

At the start of this year, TUI re-positioned its offering by removing free travel insurance from its packages and selling it separately at a reduced rate.

AXA said: "The new offering from TUI is one of the most comprehensive and competitively priced available and has taken the high street by storm. In its first quarter of 2006 alone, insurance conversion rates have doubled."

Victoria Wilkinson, Corporate Partnerships Director of Retail and Travel at AXA Insurance, said: "TUI is one of our most important travel partnerships. They're one of the biggest operators in the travel industry and we're the biggest travel insurer in the UK; the partnership makes perfect sense."

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
