Amlin is to rebrand its cargo and transit insurance specialist subsidiary in a move to associate it more closely with the group identity.
From April 2004 onwards, Angerstein Transit will be renamed Amlin Transit.
Chairman Martin Hewett said: “We decided to rebrand in order to leverage the significant market strength associated with the Amlin Group.”
The group said Amlin Transit would continue to focus on providing a complete underwriting and claims process to the cargo and transit industry, while offering tailored policies.
“Our aim is to be the leading cargo and transit insurance business in the UK. With the strength of the Amlin name behind us, we believe we can reach our goal and share that success with our broker customers,” said Hewett.
