Allianz Cornhill Engineer-ing is to increase its number of engineering surveyors by 15% during 2005 in response to increased market demands, said the company.
Business manager Phil Godwin said the increase will take the total number to about 500 surveyors.
"We are delivering additional business to our partners because of our reputation for completing surveys on time and on budget, which in turn is leading to increased demand."
He added: "I see us consolidating and expanding our business on the back of the service level we supply."
Godwin said the insurer was seeking to recruit lifting and crane engineers in particular.
