Julia Graham takes up the Airmic chair.
Incoming Airmic chair Julia Graham has selected ‘supporting the risk manager’ as her theme for the year, she told this week’s annual conference.
She said: “The demands made on the risk manager are changing rapidly, both externally and within their organisations.
“I want to focus on what it means to be a risk manager, their position in relation to their colleagues and what they will require in the future: their competencies, skills and training needs,” she said.
“The role of the risk manager is more exciting but also more challenging than it has ever been.”
Graham is chief risk officer at DLA Piper, having previously been head of group risk management at RSA.
