AIG has picked up the travel insurance account for budget European airline Flybe from CNA Insurance.
The insurer will underwrite the airline's travel policies for the next three years.
The account is believed to be worth over £500,000 in premiums per year.
Jonathan Cooper, travel manager of accident and health at AIG Europe, said: "We are delighted. [Winning the account] is testament to our understanding of internet-based marketing as a means of increasing penetration, conversion and sales."
AIG's cover will be available via Flybe's web sales site from this month.
