Insurance and reinsurance provider Ace has become an official Lord's partner, as well as winning the insurance contract for the club.
The organisation had previously used the same insurer since the early 1900s, said Ace.
Ace said the official partnership between the two organisations stemmed from discussion that led to the MCC adopting Ace as its insurer. As a result, the two organisations decided to extend their commercial relationship, with Ace becoming an official Lord's partner.
Under the deal, Ace will benefit from global advertising opportunities throughout the cricket season, plus year-round access to the excellent conference, banqueting and other facilities at Lord's.
The insurer will continue to invest in the refurbishment of the cricket ground.
MCC said it was seeking to recruit up to six Lord's partners. It announced a partnership agreement with Deutsche Bank in February 2004.
