Zurich has embarked upon a major national TV, press and poster advertising campaign to drive motor and home business to brokers.

Since last Friday, the multi-million pound campaign has been encouraging consumers to contact brokers for more information.

The company claims this is the first time that intermediaries will be promoted in such a high-profile manner.

Managing director Ian Owen said: "I really believe that this prime-time advertising campaign will provide a boost to the broker community, actively generating valuable new business through this important channel."

Chief executive of Biba Mike Williams said: "The role of the broker to the consumer is very important and Biba is delighted that Zurich has taken the lead with this new advertising campaign."
